Single-owner doll collection up for bid July 29
An antique and collectible doll collection, teddy bears, and figures, including examples by Steiff, Disney, and Lenci, will headline an online auction set for July 29 through Turner Auction + Appraisals.
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Turner Auctions + Appraisals will present a European and American Doll Collection on Sunday, July 29.
Offering more than 130 lots from one collector, the sale features dolls from Italy, England, Switzerland and America; teddy bears by Steiff, Hermann, Merrythought and others; Disney collectibles; and marionettes, puppets and other selected toys. Among the doll collection are those from R. John Wright, Chad Valley, Lenci, Wendy Lawton, Norah Wellings, Sasha, Anili and Golly, plus some vintage dolls.
Teddy Bears to Antique Dolls
Turner Auctions + Appraisals begins its online auction on Sunday, July 29, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. Pacific time, items in the sale are available for preview and bidding now. The online auction will be live on four platforms: LiveAuctioneers, Invaluable, eBay and Turner Auctions + Appraisals’ free mobile app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Apps ("Turner Auctions").

- Disney Cinderella and the Prince Charming porcelain dolls, with an estimate of $150-$250.
- Miscellaneous grouping of five vintage stuffed toy monkeys, carrying an estimate of $50-$70.
- Chad Valley fabric doll, one Dean’s Rag Book doll and an I. Magnin & Co doll, carrying as a group an estimate of $200-$400.
- Disney Pinocchio statue, with an estimate of $80-$100.
- Three Norah Wellings cloth dolls, all featuring a label of "Made in England by Norah Wellings, with an estimate of $150-$250.
- Group of three Wendy Lawton dolls, with an estimate of $60-$80.
