New auction app available for February estate auction

Virtual participation in Sloans & Kenyon’s February Estate catalog auction may be as easy as 1, 2,3 using the new auction app the company is unveiling for the Feb. 7-8 sale.

CHEVY CHASE, Md. — Sloans & Kenyon’s February 8th & 9th Estate Catalogue Auction marks the launch of its state-of-the-art proprietary auction app. Potential buyers can use Sloans & Kenyon’s innovative iPad app to:

The February Estate catalog auction includes over 1,100 lots of Asian ceramics and works of art, silver, jewelry, decorative arts, furniture, paintings, sculpture, ethnographica, clocks, and books and documents. Lots in the February 8th & 9th auction can be viewed on iPads via Sloans & Kenyon’s mobile app, online at www.sloansandkenyon.com, or in person at the gallery, located in Chevy Chase, through Feb. 7th.

Future versions of the app will incorporate personalization, bidding, and expanded auction support, access to past catalogs, prices realized, and photo tools. .

The app’s home screen features a sliding collage of Sloans & Kenyon auction highlights and gives potential bidders an instant overview of the variety of auction lots. The catalog can be searched by lot number, department or keywords. Sloans & Kenyon’s app also provides social sharing capabilities to Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.
