Scarce Lalique shines in auction spotlight

Sixty-eight items of Lalique art glass, including various examples of seldom-seen design and color, changed hands during a Sept. 22 auction at Rago Arts.

One of the many beautiful things about the exchange of antique and vintage objects between people is that in passing on custodial duties, another period of enjoyment of history and innovation takes place.

Bidders Draw From Lexora Lalique Collection

Recently, several bidders became the new guardians of 68 examples of scarce Lalique art glass following Rago Arts & Auction Center's auctioning of The Lexora Collection on Sept. 22.

The selection, which includes various unique and seldom-seen forms and colors of Lalique, is the result of a single collector's efforts. It's said a number of the lots were making their first appearance at auction in several decades.
