Love a bargain? I know you do, come see what we’ve got going…
As a fellow member of the antiques and collectibles community, I know you dig deals. That’s why it’s imperative you check out the Friends & Family Summer Event at our bookstore.
I realize that rarely a day goes by when you don’t see at least a few advertisements or promotions for things you need, want, or maybe recently decided you need because someone else has it. Something else I realize is that the collecting community is a savvy bunch of folks, who know how to spot and make the most of a great bargain. And that’s why I wanted to tell you about a super Friends & Family Summer Event going on at our store, KrauseBooks.com, through Sunday (June 7, 2015).
You may be wondering just how super the deal is. It’s 40% off antiques and collectibles references (books, DVDs, and downloads) super!
I decided what better time to to tell you about some of my favorite references, which you can pick up for a steal. Plus, now is the perfect opportunity to pick up some fascinating books for dad or the father figures in your life, just in time for Father’s Day, which is June 21, by the way. Or, stock up on books you can use while planning your next trip to the flea market, estate sale or auction, or examining treasures post picking.
I also like a good deal about as much as I like pie, and I most certainly like pie. So, here are a few of my Favorites Under $15:
• Antique Trader Antiques & Collectibles 2015 Price Guide — This is one of my favorites for many reasons. I actually spotted a Trader Price Guide at a flea market well before I became part of the company and the team that produces it. At the time, the dealer told my sister it was one of the best books he’s every read. He learned something from it every time he bought a new edition. Many years later, I’m fortunate to be part of the team that helps put this top-selling price guide together, and I too, learn something new every time I turn to it.
Retail $22.99
Friends & Family Price: $10.12
• Collecting Depression Glass Kit — I dig this collection because of the three items included you get the most recent edition of Warman’s Depression Glass, which is the premiere guide to Depression Glass. Patterns, pricing, photos and details all in one book written by someone I consider the guru of glass, Ellen T. Schroy.
Retail: $50.73
Friends & Family Price: $12.89
• Whole Lotta Led Zeppelin— Yep, if presented with the choice of Beatles or Rolling Stones, I would likely say: Option Z, for Zeppelin. Fortunately for me, I was quite a bit younger than my sisters, who were driving and listening to rock music of the late 1960s and 1970s when I came along in ’73. It was fortunate because one of my sisters took me with her often, and I was introduced to Led Zeppelin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Cream, and Lynyrd Skynyrd before I was in kindergarten and on 8-track. This book features amazing photographs of concerts, posters, tickets, and LPs. Plus, rock journalists from around the globe reflect on the legacy of this band.
Retail $19.99
Friends & Family Price: $8.39
So, I invite you to take a few minutes before 11:59 p.m. EST on Sunday, June 7, 2015 to visit KrauseBooks.com, and take advantage of this great sale. Be sure to enter FFSUMMER40 in the "Coupon" space during the checkout process. That way you'll get every last savings you can, and you'll have some money left over to use at the flea market. Because I know you're going there sometime this weekend. I'm sure I'll see you there!
Also, since I know your interests are varied, I wanted to also share links to the stores of our sister publications, where the Friends & Family Event is also taking place.
