Georgian Era 1714-1837
Georgian jewelry is named for the monarchies of the four King Georges, who in succession ruled England starting in 1714 in addition to King William’s reign, which lasted until 1837. Authentic Georgian jewelry is rare and quite valuable. Unfortunately, most have been altered or destroyed over time. Kovels Antique Trader explores the styles and craftsmanship of the era, including the first pieces of mourning jewelry, portrait miniatures, hair jewelry, cameos, enamels, and more.
