Two of the founding members, Tom and Olga Moreland, will give a short history of WICA’s 25 year journey. Joe Eidikaitis will give an informative presentation on living in Dale Hall, Burslem, England during which attendees will hear of various jobs in the pot banks. This information was provided by a former pot banks worker, Alan Hopwood, who now lives on Stoke-on-Trent.

Barbara Stewart and her daughters Jeneen Berry, Shelly Micali, and Sandy Durkin are planning a display of cake stands. The ever-favorite convention event of Show/Tell and Ask along with the Show & Sale including the Flea Market and Spare Parts will be enjoyed by all.

There are two tours planned for Thursday for the members to enjoy. One will be to the Reading Public Museum in Reading, Pennsylvania, which has a world class collection of over 300,000 items. The museum is fully handicapped accessible. The second tour is to Shady Maple Farmers Market Bakery and Smorgasbord in East Earl, Pennsylvania.

One of the most popular events is the WICA Live Auction, which will be held after the Saturday evening banquet. Ellen Miller will be the auctioneer. This will be her 7th auction for WICA. Ellen does an excellent service for both WICA and the consigners.

There will be a silent auction along with the main raffle, which is $1 for a single ticket or $5 for a sheet of six tickets. The raffle supports the Education Fund. The raffle drawing will be Saturday evening May 4 before the banquet. You do not need to be present to win.

You must be a WICA member to enjoy the convention. Visit www.whiteironstonechina.com for member benefit information and for more convention details.
