New fall market aims to draw crowds to Golden, Colo. Sept. 17
Old House Vintage Market is marking the start of autumn with a market event Sept. 17 in Golden, Colo.
GOLDEN, Colo. — The Old House Vintage Market is returning Sept. 17. The market is Golden’s only upscale market that features a mix of antique, vintage, salvage, upcycled and handmade merchandise.
The addition of a fall event is an evolution of this unique market, according to founder Bernadette Rankin.
“I kept hearing how much Golden needed this kind of event. I’m proud to work with such talented and passionate small business owners to bring it to life,” Rankin said. “The Old House Vintage Market's mission is to champion small businesses and solo entrepreneurs. They've turned their craft, careful curation and preservation of each antique, vintage, salvaged and handmade piece created or collected into a unique experience to be shared.”
The spring market attracted roughly 700 attendees and 30 vendors in May. Wares from more than 40 vendors will be on offer, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Popular vendors include:
• Amy Kozdron of The Pink Attic Cat, locale of unique and curious objects in downtown Littleton that has won many “best of” awards in the Denver area.
• Melody Diehl, a former scientist and cancer survivor whose experiences inspired her to create a line of natural beauty and skin care products, Kissed by Nature.

“What a welcome surprise this first time market was. Usually, a new market needs some time to gather steam and take off, but not The Old House Vintage Market!” said Jeanne Goplin of The Woodcutter’s Wife. “The quality, quantity and rarity of antiques and other goods offered were amazing."
Other additions to the fall market, include more food and beverage options courtesy. Plus, Rare Finds Warehouse, a local leader in antique, vintage, salvage and upcycled merchandise, is sponsor of the fall Old House Vintage Market.
“When you start to think about what handmade is from beginning to end, every stage was filled with care, quality and love by a maker’s own hands — even that concept could be considered antiquated,” Rankin said. “By including these creators, we are able to give their craft the attention it deserves and support their mission to never let these skills perish.”
