WYOMISSING Pa. — The Antique Advertising Association of America (AAAA), also known as “Quad-A,” announces the seminars that will take place at its annual convention in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania from July 24-27, 2019. Included among the convention offerings are presentations by well-known, published authors.

On Thursday, July 25, Margaret Carpenter and Alice Muncaster will present a seminar entitled “The Cat Made Me Buy It!” This presentation will celebrate cats who helped sell products and services from the late 1800s to the 1950s. Alice Muncaster co-authored a series of popular books on the role that cats, dogs, and babies have had in advertising. Titles include: The Cat Made Me Buy It!, The Cat Sold It!, The Black Cat Made Me Buy It!, The Dog Made Me Buy It!, and The Baby Made Me Buy it!

On Friday, July 26, a seminar will be presented by health and nutrition expert David Meinz, MS, RDN, FAND, CSP, entitled: “VITAMANIA: Vitamins, Past & Present!” David is an award-winning international speaker, entrepreneur, author, and frequent radio and television guest. His published works include: Ten Bonus Years; Wealthy, Healthy and Wise; The Enemy Within; Healthy Sales; and a series of audio CDs. David will combine his advice on which vitamins you should take with highlights from his latest collection acquisitions.

In addition to seminars, the AAAA Convention will feature a full schedule of activities, including a silent auction, room sales, displays, games and contests, banquet meals, and more.

Those unable to attend the entire AAAA convention may wish to attend the free “Public Day” on Friday, July 26 from 1-10 p.m. A silent auction will be held from 1-3:30 p.m., followed by general sales from 3:30-6 p.m. and again from 7:15-10 p.m. Thousands of antique and vintage advertising items will be available for purchase at all price points.
