Scarce Chinese ritual food vessel may top $7K
A Chinese Imperial yellow-glazed moulded archaistic ritual food vessel is among the lots expected to vie for top lot during a Nov. 16 auction at Dreweatts.
LONDON -- Highlights from Dreweatts’ Chinese Ceramics & Asian Works of Art auction will be on
exhibition at Ely House during Asian Art in London 2015, Nov. 5 through Nov. 14. The exhibition of key auction pieces will then move to complete the 336 lots for viewing ahead of the auction November 16.

Among the featured pieces in this auction include, a side facing Imperial Chinese dragon roundel, Qing Dynasty, circa 1850, carries a presale estimate of $2,200-$4,400; a Cloisonné enamel 'Lotus' vase, Hu, probably Qing Dynasty incised Qianlong six character mark, 39cm high, could see $4,500-$6,200; a fine Chinese soapstone group, Qing Dynasty, presumably depicting a scene from the Han dynasty, $10,600-$15,600; a fine large Chinese blue and white Dish, Kangxi, $1,600-$2,000; a Chinese gilt-bronze of Vishnu riding on Garuda, probably Qing Dynasty, $5,300-$7,700; a rare Imperial yellow-glazed moulded archaistic ritual food vessel and cover, Gui, Qing Dynasty, $5,300-$7,700.
