Encore Banjo machine may vie for top lot of two-day sale

UNION, Ill. — Donley Auctions will hold their Fall Classic Auction in Union IL November 13-14.

Thursday features a warehouse hoard of original unrestored items including coin op machines, jukeboxes, toys, signs and advertising, architecture, leaded glass and tons of cool stuff all at no minimum and no reserve.

On Friday evening the Classic 300 takes place with three automatic music machines including a Wurlitzer band organ, a Seeburg KT, and an Encore Banjo machine.

“These banjo machines almost never come up for sale” said Donley, “And just to see and hear one play is amazing. And this one is in beautiful condition.”

Other items featured at the sale will be a complete set of restored wood Parker carousel horses, a Cretors popcorn wagon, coin operated games and machines, music boxes, automobiles, motorbikes and scooters, cash registers, advertising, and architecture including an entire spectacular Art Noveau store front from a Paris France.

The Thursday auction will start at 12 noon with a 10 am preview. Friday starts at 5 pm with a 12 noon preview. There will be a special preview party open to the public on Wednesday Nov 12th from 5 pm to 9 pm.

The auction will be held at Donley’s Wild West Town facility at 8512 S. Union Road, Union, IL 60180. The auction facility is located 30 minutes north of the Chicagoland coin op show in St. Charles being held Nov 15th & 16th.
