Wallace Nutting group planning May 16-17 convo

Fans of Wallace Nutting collectibles will gather in Pennsylvania Mary 16-17 for the annual gathering of the Wallace Nutting Collectors Club.

FT. WASHINGTON, Pa. — The annual convention of the Wallace Nutting Collectors Club will be held May 16-17 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 530 West Pennsylvania Avenue, Ft. Washington, PA 19034.

This annual convention is the premier gathering spot for anyone interested in collecting Wallace Nutting photos, furniture or hand-colored photos by other photographers. A gathering of members from around the country meet for an exciting and informational weekend.

Friday afternoon begins with the annual Wallace Nutting auction; the preview begins at noon and the auction commences at 2 p.m. This year’s auction, which is open to the public, offers more than 500 Wallace Nutting photos, books and furniture, as well as other early 20th century hand-colored photos by other artists, such as Charles Sawyer, Fred Thompson, David Davidson and more.

Saturday’s agenda is equally important, beginning with a sale/trade/exhibit at 8 a.m. Club members set up at tables and bring their most unusual photo and furniture pieces to sell or trade; there will be hundreds of items for sale.

The sale is followed by the annual club meeting and several presentations by club members and a show and tell, which is immediately followed by a trip to Valley Forge Historic National Park and a tour focusing on areas that Wallace Nutting photographed. The annual club dinner will be held at the hotel that evening.

The hospitality suite is open throughout most of the weekend with complimentary snacks and beverages and is a great place to meet and network with other collectors.
