Rediscovered French oil painting may lead Landmark Sale Dec. 19
The 19th century original oil painting “Landscape by the Sea,” by Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot is headlining Everything But The House’s Landmark Sale, scheduled for Dec. 19.
Everything But The House (EBTH) will present The EBTH Landmark Sale on December 19. The sale will showcase an exclusive collection of fine art, antique furniture, and rare jewelry.
The highlight of the sale is a recently rediscovered oil painting, “Landscape by the Sea,” by Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot. Additional items in the sale include a Realist oil painting “Oil on Board of Cart Driver” by Anton Mauve. Plus, an 1800s Dutch inlaid marquetry desk. As well as an early Chinese carved temple figure. And a 14K two-toned gold double strand pearl, diamond, and ruby necklace. EBTH is offering all items starting at a $1 bid with no reserve and no buyer’s premium.
Eye on Opportunities in Estate Sales
Brian Graves, co-founder of EBTH speaking about the significance of the sale, stated, "It's primarily due to the caliber of the items to be included, highlighted by a well documented original oil painting by French Master, Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot.
"Of course, there are other sales that have been held in this industry's history with more valuable works. However, I would argue that none have been so accessible to a worldwide audience of vintage enthusiasts. The fact that we continue to offer items of this caliber, starting at $1, with no reserve and no buyer's premium is setting a new precedent for making this industry transparent and approachable."
Additional items in the sale include a floral still life gouache painting by Paul De Longpré, an 1800s Dutch inlaid marquetry desk, an early Chinese carved temple figure, and a 14K two-toned gold double strand pearl, diamond, and ruby necklace.
