A grant from the Wisconsin Antiques Dealers Association continues their commitment as the benefit auction's founding sponsors. Furthermore, admission charged at their October and February antiques shows fund such grant and scholarship programs.
The inaugural auction, held in April 2010, was followed by three successful encores in April, 2012, 2014 & 2016. The proceeds from the four biennial auctions have provided important funding for the Wisconsin Historical Society. Furthermore, the monies support the state historic sites as well as National History Day events.
Just a few months away, the "30th Star Benefit Antiques Auction" is two years in the making! Contributions of antiques (more than 99 years old) and vintage items (50-99 years old) hail from across middle America. In keeping with their goal to "preserve and share history", each item will be accompanied by a Provenance Statement. In addition, the auction catalog will list the known history of each piece as well as the donor's name, if desired. Tax deductible receipts will be provided.
