Antiques, modernism show heating up Va.

Twenty-century design and influence will be highlighted and celebrated at the Northern Virginia Antiques and Modernism Show, June 21-22.

ARLINGTON, Va. — The most important design movements of the 20th century will be represented at the Northern Virginia Antiques & Modernism Show June 21-22, 2014, at the Thomas Jefferson Community Center in Arlington, Virginia.

Mid-Century Modern eras will be offered. Superior examples of interior furnishings, lighting, decorative objects, fine art and personal accessories will be richly displayed by the finest dealers in the country. This event will also feature a select group of dealers specializing in antiques and fine art from earlier eras and genres.

Presented by the Art Deco Society of Washington (ADSW) and JMK Shows, this event is a celebration and shopping event unlike any other.

Some of the finest 20th century designs are found in porcelain, glass and crystal creations. Among the dealers representing this category will be Gardner Burke Antiques, offering décor from masters like Moser, Pickard, Belleek and Limoges.

Sonny Ideker has been collecting books around the world for more than 30 years and offers exceptional examples of rare, antiquarian, leather and vellum bound books.

The Northern Virginia Antiques & Modernism Show will be held June 21-22, 2014, at the Thomas Jefferson Community Center, 3501 2nd Street South, Arlington, Virginia.
