Antiques Show Moving Online
Rather than cancel due to COVID-19, New Hampshire antiques dealers create virtual show for 63rd annual event.
MANCHESTER, NH – COVID-19 can't stop antiques enthusiasts from "attending" the 63rd annual New Hampshire Antiques Show.
When the pandemic threatened its cancellation, the New Hampshire Antiques Dealers Association decided to move the show online instead and invites enthusiasts to gather virtually to check out the wares that dedicated dealers have saved just for this “one-of-a-kind” annual show.
The show will go live promptly at 10 a.m. EST on Thursday, Aug. 6, at nhadashow.org and conclude at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 8.
"We are thrilled to have this technology available to bring antiques enthusiasts together, one way or another. We have been working with our web developer to create our own online show for some time. As a board, we decided to proceed and unveil the 63rd annual show online," said Tommy Thompson, president of NHADA board of directors. "We have 45 exhibitors who will be featured in this online show with their best wares they have been collecting all year."
There is no overnight waiting in line at the lobby of the DoubleTree hotel in Manchester for this prestigious event. You just have to click, view, and contact the exhibitor to buy your special object. The online show homepage will showcase exhibitors' featured objects, and visitors can browse by category or exhibitor or scroll through all of the objects. There is also search functionality, so visitors can search the site for objects of specific interest.
Purchases can be made by contacting the exhibitors directly. Exhibitor contact information will be listed on each object page, as well as on their exhibitor page. Each exhibitor will have their own payment and shipping terms. Items will be marked sold as they sell.
