Mob Museum director speaking at banquet
Jonathan Ullman, executive director of the Las Vegas Mob Museum, will speak at the volunteers’ banquet June 21, following the CC>CC convention.
LAS VEGAS — The Casino Chip & Gaming Token Collectors Club announces Jonathan Ullman, executive director of the Las Vegas Mob Museum, will be speaking at the volunteers’ banquet on Saturday, June 21 — the day after the CC>CC convention closes — at 7 p.m. at the South Point Casino & Spa in Las Vegas. The volunteers’ banquet is the wrap-up for the 22nd convention of the world’s largest club devoted solely to collecting casino memorabilia.
Ullman is executive director and CEO of The Mob Museum, the National Museum of
Organized Crime and Law Enforcement. Reporting to a 20-member board of directors, Ullman is responsible for leading the organization that will operate and grow this world class museum.
Prior to joining The Mob Museum, Ullman spent more than 17 years in a variety of management and leadership roles within the nonprofit museum industry. Most recently, he was the president and COO at the National Soccer Hall of Fame.
Ullman’s museum career began at Liberty Science Center, where he was intimately involved in running the center upon its opening in 1993. Over the years, he served in many capacities, with responsibilities ranging from intensive staff and program oversight to strategic planning and external relations.
Ullman earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers College and his Masters of Business Administration from Rutgers Business School. He is also a graduate of Leadership Las Vegas, the FBI Citizens’ Academy and the LV Metro Police Department Citizens’ Academy. He currently serves on the Advisory Board for Advanced Technologies Academy. A believer in the importance of community, he has also served on a number of nonprofit boards.
The Casino Chip & Gaming Token Collectors Club Inc. (CC>CC) convention is being held in Las Vegas at the Southpoint Hotel Casino & Spa, 9777 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Convention dates are June 19-21, 2014, Thursday through Saturday; the showroom floor is open to the public starting on Thursday, June 19, and admission on Thursday is $15. New this year: Friday and Saturday offer all-day free admission.
